Frost Bank CEO to address CPAs at Sept. 18 lunch

Frost Bank’s CEO will address Houston CPA Society on banking in current economic environment.

Dick Evans, 63, chairman and chief executive officer of San Antonio-based Cullen/Frost Bankers Inc. and Frost Bank, will describe lessons learned from the 80’s, growth opportunities in this environment, and the current status of the banking industry at a luncheon during the Houston CPA Society’s second Chief Financial Officer (CFO)/Controller Conference, Sept. 18, at the Omni Houston Hotel, Four Riverway.

Registration for the day-long event begins at 7:30 a.m., and the sessions run until 5 p.m.

Frost has $15.8 billion in assets and 112 locations across Texas, including 23 in Houston. Evans has been CEO since 1997, joining Frost in 1971

He is serving a two-year term as a member of the Federal Advisory Council to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, D.C. and was recently a member of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.

Barry Wilken, CFO/Controller Conference Committee Chair, said the conference is designed to provide financial leaders of small and middle market companies with information to help them meet the challenge of managing their company’s resources and daily operations.

The conference will feature sessions on board and management expectations of CFOs, employment law, fiduciary responsibility, governance, risk management and compliance, as well as acquisition and divestiture planning and execution.

Registration for Houston CPA Society members and non-CPAs is $225.
